It ...Xfinity Blast vs AT&T Internet 100 Hello everyone, I’ve been having so many issues with my xfinity WIFI lately and not to mention they don’t want to refund me $200 after sending back their xFi Pods 30 days late even though they delivered it to me passing the 30 days.I've done business with (paid the bills, dealt with issues) residential internet with the following companies. AT&T (DSL and Fiber), Charter, Time Warner, Spectrum, Comcast, Verizon FIOS, Earthlink, and Google Fiber across 4 states. Some times in owned homes. Some times in apartments or assisted living setups.Xfinity has no upside. Worse product, worse value, worse stability, worse company. I’ve had a better experience with AT&T Fiber than Google Fiber. Over the course of 1 year with ATT we never had a single outtage. With Google Fiber since October we’ve had 4 outtages lasting several hours/days. AT&T Fiber vs Xfinity Which would you choose, is it worth paying Xfinity termination fees? Moving to a new house, we can transfer our current Xfinity account there which our current promo is 600down/15up for $60 a month.Fiber is always better than Xfinity. It’s symmetrical (your upload speeds match your download, unlike Xfinity), it’s unlimited (unlike Xfinity), and it’s cheaper. Do you actually need the 2Gb fiber plan? The 1Gb fiber plan is $80 and is ridiculously fast for what most people need. Structure of their services was also wild. I could have saved $5 or $10 per month for TV and Internet, but would’ve had like 2 tiers lower TV and way lower speed, but they had a ton of incentives to go to gig speed and mid cable package. Still much more expensive than xfinity. I will 100% go back to xfinity if possible after I move.Hope that helps! TL:DR. t-mobile home internet speeds are pretty incredible for being a 5G gateway. cost will be consistent 50 dollars a month with auto pay (might be 10-15 dollars more if you’re not a T-Mobile wireless customer or no auto pay) don’t expect to play games competitively (latency is meh)tldr- Verizon Fios vs Xfinity? $90/mo for 1Gig at Verizon, $70/mo for 900M at Xfinity. Verizon includes the stock router, Xfinity charges $14/mo for theirs. Verizon has new customer “gifts” and Xfinity does not. And should we ditch the ISP provided router and bring our own, or stick with the stock router? ————— May 7, 2021 · A 100 Mbps VDSL plan from AT&T runs $50/month, while a 150 Mbps cable internet plan (they don't have a 100 Mbps one) from Xfinity costs $54.99. That's not bad, though cable may have the advantage here as it sometimes delivers speeds that exceed what's advertised, and in general is less susceptible to outages than DSL. Unless you plan to be a livestreamer, gig internet is overkill. I had Comcast, but recently ditched it because T-Mobile has wireless internet. It’s $60/mo, has no data cap, is completely wireless (uses 5G/4G), and my speed tests show about 190-ish down and 40-ish up (more than enough for streaming). It supports up to 64 devices. .
